Parenthetic is seeking a Strategic Communication Analyst with experience in influence campaigns, information operations, marketing, or related field(s) to join our team. A successful candidate will have a track record of delivering data-driven research and analysis of complex issues. Parenthetic analysts are outcome-driven, thrive in highly collaborative team environment, and are proactive at anticipating needs.

In this role, you will apply your knowledge of strategic communication principles to build an understanding of the communication landscape. You will conduct analysis of open-source media to identify key themes, find patterns, and link them to real-world events. You will collaborate with colleagues to produce findings and recommendations that address our clients diverse challenges.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Communication Analyst primarily performs, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our clients' communication issues and challenges.
  • Conduct secondary research. Critically analyze and evaluate research and communications (including media articles, press releases, speeches) to identify trends, patterns, and relationships.
  • Identify, adapt, and apply relevant communication theories, psychological frameworks, and best practices to address our clients problem sets.
  • Monitor and assess global events related to clients objectives and areas of responsibility.
  • Produce deliverables that are clear, concise, visually appealing, and effectively communicate outcomes in a manner interpretable by a wide range of audiences.
  • Cultivate relationships with colleagues and clients that foster collaboration, facilitate on-time project completion, and increase client satisfaction.

Requirements

The position will require on-site work in the Washington Metropolitan Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) for a Federal Government client. Occasional domestic travel (less than 10%) may be required based on operational needs. Candidates must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be SCI/SAP eligible (i.e., possess SCI or have had SCI in the last 24 months).

Work Experience and Skills

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Communication, Marketing, Psychology, Political Science, or other social science field and minimum of five (5) years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than one (1) year experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the past 5 years.
  • Experience with communication and social influence/media analysis, to include an understanding of relevant theories and principles.
  • Exceptional analytic and critical-thinking skills. Adept at drawing meaningful and objective conclusions based on qualitative and quantitative research from multiple, disparate sources.
  • Willingness to learn about complex, highly technical topics.
  • Openness to new perspectives, ideas, and analytical methodologies.
  • Well-organized and capable of handling multiple tasks and ad-hoc requests simultaneously.

Salary Range: $100,210 - 154,455
