ABOUT THE ROLE
The Service Bartenders main responsibility is to assist our table service staff during bottle purchase decisions, as well as maintain cleanliness of service wells (link removed) All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Avant Gardner company policy and procedures.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for inventory stock based off of the table service menu; as well as communicating any 86ed products prior to opening
- In charge of handling all table service clientele credit cards and identification, once handed over from bottle server
- Responsible for distributing liquor and spirits from POS orders to waitresses in a timely manner
- Assists on printing out receipts and organizes in table number order
- In control of applying prepayment authorizations and checking on any specific notes regarding the deposits
- Cleanliness and sanitation of designated work areas; discard any personal trash
- In charge of locking and unlocking liquor cabinet as well as organizing with alignment
- Required to stay in service areas at all times during operations; other than breaks
- Reports to Table Service Floor Manager
- Required to handle cash banks and separate gratuities between each role
- Responsible for tracking inventory after every purchase in order to keep up-to-date available inventory
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous hospitality and bartender experience is preferred but not required
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to work in loud and fast-paced environments
- The ability to work within a team environment
- Experience with handling mass amounts of cash and credit card transactions
- Experience with handling champagne and spirits is preferred
COMPENSATION
- The hourly rate for this position is $15 per hour plus tips with applicable tip credit
