The Day-to-Day:

Matter is looking for a competent Vice President of Operations to organize, oversee people and programs for our clinical mode. You will be responsible for supervising and directing everything from employees and budgets to technology and operations. As VP of Operations, you should possess excellent management and mentoring skills. The ideal person will be an outstanding communicator and able to resolve conflict and issues. If you also have a deep respect for policies and ethics and can inspire that in others, you are ideal for the role. The goal is to ensure the smooth running of our clinical departments aiming to maximize performance in active markets and new market expansion strategies.

Joining Matter Health early in its growth journey, the Vice President of Operations will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and be an integral member of the leadership team. This is the perfect role for someone excited to lead development and implement short- and long-term operational goals and plans while ensuring alignment with broader company priorities. The VP of Operations will translate initiatives into timely action plans with measurable performance using industry best practices and standard KPIs to lead, direct, and drive operational excellence and standard work across all Matter Health markets.

This servant leader will have a spirit of continuous improvement, implementing feedback loop mechanisms designed to refine and optimize processes to promote high patient and employee satisfaction levels.


What Leads to Success?

  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer on the integration and delivery of value across the care continuum, including holistic initiatives to deliver on Matter Healths value proposition, alignment with value-based care activities, and change management.
  • Develop and ensure implementation of systems, structures and metrics that support scalable and consistent delivery of high-quality care.
  • Support clinical and market-based teams in testing and operationalizing new offerings and develop strategies to deliver results predictably and reliably in value-based care constructs and performance-based partnerships.
  • Inspire and design a service organization that understands its connection and purpose to the broader delivery of a value based primary health care model focused on access for a vulnerable senior population.
  • Work effectively as a team member in a dynamic and matrixed executive environment while promoting team engagement and collaboration across the organization. Maintain positive relationships while demonstrating effective problem-solving skills.
  • Create an environment that fosters innovation and exceptional performance; willing to get hands dirty in this early phase of the companys development and throughout the organizations rapid growth scale
  • P&L management, reporting, and strategic planning, including forecasting and growth planning in collaboration with clinical & non-clinical market leadership, and central finance & growth teams
  • Create and implement quality performance improvement plans based on data analysis/root cause analysis, and assists the market based General Managers in the implementation strategies to ensure quality and cost-effective patient care
  • Implement and scale standard guidelines, protocols, and policies to support the consistent delivery of Matter Healths model, with quality, safety, and service at the forefront
  • Ability to meet the changing needs of the organization by developing an organizational design and structure that balances the personalized nature of local support with the efficient and standard nature of central support
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements


  • Passion for Matter Healths model, vision, and patient population
  • Bachelors Degree in health management, business administration and nursing or health administration
  • 10 years of strategic clinical operations management experience; preferably high growth environment
  • Proven operational success in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment; strong understanding of how to efficiently utilize resources and teams to recognize the companys vision
  • Experience operating and partnering across a dyad model of ownership as well as supporting and managing complex clinical operations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enable effective engagement with all levels of the organization to accomplish key business initiatives
  • Mission-driven individual who is passionate about Matter Health goals and values.
  • Dynamic leader who has the energy, drive, and passion to join a company in the midst of tremendous growth.
