Were seeking a full-time, onsite WordPress/Drupal Developer who will work as part of a hyper-creative team with the goal of producing stunning web experiences. Key to succeeding in this position is a team-player attitude (and aptitude), as you will be working with a diverse group of individuals with specialized skill sets. The technical and creative support of your team will be critical to your success, even on projects you own. Every project is different and demands different levels of technical skill, time management and creative drive; be ready to explore new and emerging technologies and meet the expectations of clients looking to do the next big thing.
Key responsibilities - Create well-designed and tested code using best practices for web development, including responsive design and mobile display
- Create websites and interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices, and incorporate data from back-end databases and services
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies
- Meet regularly with internal stakeholders to review business and functional requirements
- Assist in determining project scopes and specifications
- Perform UI coding primarily for web projects, some email templates as needed
- Maintain communication with team members and supervisors concerning the direction of web projects
- Perform routine site audits as well as ongoing maintenance, on an as-needed basis
Requirements - Minimum 2+ years professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong desire to learn and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness
- Ability to work in editing tools such as Divi, Elementor, Beaver Builder, or Acquia Site Studio
- Be proficient in modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Proficiency in PHP (object-oriented PHP is a plus but not required)
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelors degree in web development or related field, or relevant experience
- Experience in implementing web development workflows and operations using a variety of tools, including GitHub
- Experience working with WordPress and/or Drupal (8.x+) content management systems. Will cross-train as needed.
- Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) practices
