The firm is backed by The Carlyle Group, Nasdaq Inc., and Summit Partners, and has seen continuous rapid growth since its founding in 2016.

The Opportunity

Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate to join our Finance team to help build our in-house accounting function.

You will work closely with stakeholders to produce accurate and timely financial statements, with a focus on month-end close, reconciliations, and identifying improvements to existing accounting processes. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Finance, with engagement across the organization while you support the Finance teams growth and continued impact across the organization.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented top performer to become directly engaged with several of the worlds most sophisticated private equity investors and produce immediate impact within a globally-focused financial technology firm.

As an Associate, Finance & Accounting at Chronograph, you will:

  • Support month-end close processes: prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as well as maintain the general ledger
  • Reconcile bank accounts and cash disbursement accounts, utilizing third party software to optimize reconciliation processes (e.g. Ramp, the Companys payroll processor / PEO)
  • Coordinate closely with external auditors and tax advisors to address requests during the Companys financial statement audits and year-end tax return preparation
  • Work with the Senior Manager of Finance to generate monthly and quarterly reporting for Company management and investors, analyze variances to budget, and other ad-hoc analyses
  • Partner with the Client Management team to ensure accurate and and timely client billing
  • File state sales tax and track nexus thresholds
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing administration of NetSuite
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • One to three (1-3) years of professional development experience, ideally in Big 4 audit or another high growth company
  • Advanced understanding of US GAAP and accounting standards relevant to the SaaS industry (e.g. ASC 606)
  • Excitement for improving existing accounting, reporting, and controls processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Netsuite a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or progress towards a plus
  • A desire to join a rapidly growing organization in a role with Company-wide visibility
  • Effective communication skills as you will need to frequently interact with various groups in and outside of Finance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, operate within tight deadlines, and escalate issues as necessary
  • Positive attitude, creativity, and a sense of humor!

Even if you do not meet all criteria, we would still encourage you to apply! Chronograph offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to proactively identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our finance and accounting functions.
