The Athletic Director Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Athletic Director in managing the administrative and operational aspects of an athletic department. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Athletic Director Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating various administrative tasks, assisting with event planning, and maintaining effective communication within the department, administration, and parents.Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Athletic Director, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Prepare and distribute departmental communications, such as memos, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Communication and Liaison:
    • Serve as a point of contact for athletes, coaches, parents, and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  • Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
    • Assist with equipment inventory management, including ordering, distributing, and tracking athletic gear and supplies.
    • Support the coordination of team travel arrangements, including transportation, accommodation, and meal planning.
    • Assist in coordinating athletic award programs, banquets
  • Event Coordination:
    • Assist in organizing athletic events, including games, tournaments, and team activities.
    • Coordinate logistics for events, including facility bookings, equipment arrangements, and communication with coaches, officials, and other involved parties.

      Pay range : $15.50-$16.50/hour

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in an educational or athletic setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of athletic department operations and regulations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on athletic events and department needs.
