This position is not eligible for a fully remote schedule.

The Challenge and The Opportunity

As our Brand Director, you will be responsible for all revenue generation activities and the overall profit contribution of the brand. Activities that fall underneath the leadership of the Director include:

  • All product development and merchandizing, brand marketing, and sales.
  • The overall creative direction and aesthetic of the Brand, including associated educational and media content.
  • Oversight of divisional staff, including selection and development, leading staff meetings, and soliciting feedback about past, current and future merchandise, and projects.
  • Oversee sales teams, wholesale distribution, and trade show sales.
  • Collaborate with the companys software development and digital marketing teams to build websites and campaigns that drive sales through direct digital channels.
  • Work with the CEO and Director of Inventory Management to set inventory levels and sell-through targets.
  • Partner with the Customer Service team to set pricing tiers, standards for customer communications, problem solving, and relationship management.

You will work with a team of talented designers, photographers, web builders, and other professionals to drive product development, drive e-commerce, produce learning content, and support the development of both the team and the quilting industry at-large. Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in an applicable field; four to five years brand management experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four to five years of learning and working in a defined industry, with understanding of that industrys competitive landscape, product offerings, and customer needs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and across the organization.
  • Ability to assimilate new industry knowledge and expertise quickly.
  • Three or more years of team leadership and management experience.
  • Three or more years of successful sales generation responsibility.
  • Ability to read, write and edit content for marketing publications and business updates; effectively present information to vendors, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Mathematical and standard business accounting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the quilting industry, craft, and associated products.
  • P&L management.

Benefits

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year DOQ plus annual bonus based on company profitability.
