Scope

Spiegelworld is looking for a seasonal Cocktail Servers to join the team at Superfrico at Caesars in Atlantic City. The Cocktail Server is responsible for being attentive to our guests needs by taking orders, making recommendations, upselling, clearing tables, collecting payment, and resetting tables for the next service. Ultimately, youll help provide an exceptional guest experience by providing personable, attentive, and timely service. Successful Cocktail Servers assist with guests needs, present an elegant appearance and convey a warm and inviting attitude toward all guests of the show.


Primary Job Duties

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Deliver prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to guests in accordance with established standards.
  • Staying guest-focused and providing exceptional service by making a positive impression on the guest.
  • Maintain thorough menu and product knowledge.
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. Maintaining awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
  • Ensuring proper set-up and maintenance of stations. Perform all aspects of opening and closing duties.
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
  • Adhering to staff privileges and responsibilities
  • Follow company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage.
  • Responsible for cash banks and slot banks, proper procedures for handling comps, room charges, credit cards, officers checks and coupons.
  • Proper completion of cash turn-in sheets, voids, etc., with appropriate distribution.
  • Maintaining professionalism in both appearance and behavior at all times
  • Adhering to seasonal uniform and appearance requirements.
  • Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
  • Assist other employees when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a bar, lounge, nightclub or full service restaurant setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, guests, management and other departments.
  • Passionate about guest service and delivering the best guest experience each and every time.
  • Work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate conversations with others in a polished, professional manner. Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the guest experience.
  • Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
  • Maintaining any necessary licensing and work cards required, present and future. Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
  • At least 21 years of age.


Preferred

  • Previous experience working in an energetic, hospitality driven restaurant or nightlife venue.

  • Work is performed in high volume professional foodservice environment
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
  • Able to lift or carry up to 20lbs.
  • Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests is necessary.
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls
  • Requires bending and reaching.
  • Requires eye/hand coordination.
  • Requires use of standard office equipment.
  • Requires basic math.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
