Were seeking an experienced problem solver to join the team at Lightburn as a Content Architect. The ideal candidate brings a mix of information organization, content strategy, and user research skills to our collaborative environment.

In this role, youll work with clients and our internal project team of designers, developers, and digital strategists to deliver excellent website experiences for a broad range of clients and industries. Youll leverage your IA skills and natural sense of curiosity to conduct research, develop sitemaps, and create structured content patterns as part of a close-knit creative team.

Note: Lightburn is located in Milwaukee, WI but we are open to remote candidates based in the United States.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an agency or similar client-focused setting
  • Demonstrable IA / Content Strategy portfolio with a focus on marketing websites
  • Strong problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Knowledge of and commitment to component-based design, modern IA/UX challenges, and overall CX and UX best practices as they apply to marketing websites and apps
  • Ability to apply practical solutions across a wide range of project sizes
  • Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities
  • Understanding of customer experience strategies such as personalization
  • Experience conducting user testing sessions, stakeholder interviews, or similar
  • Experience working in Figma a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create sitemaps, navigation structures, and content maps for large, complex marketing websites
  • Conduct content audits, stakeholder interviews, and user research
  • Evaluate the content production capabilities of clients and make strategic recommendations for creating new or repurposing existing assets
  • Contribute to the creation of microcopy such as button and help text as needed
  • Work closely with designers, content or project managers, and developers throughout the lifespan of projects
