The Communications Manager is responsible for creating relevant and timely messaging and content for our customers and building a variety of communications programs to keep them informed and engaged, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance their overall customer experience.

As the Communications Manager, you will lead the creation, editing, approval, and delivery of customer and partner communications and programs regarding our solutions and services. You will manage the overall communications workflow, write and edit extensively, utilize our email solutions and customer database to issue key communications, and realign projects and priorities as necessary. You will also work closely with cross-functional stakeholders from across the business to collaborate and address their specific communication needs.

You will work closely with the Customer Experience, Product Management, Channel and Marketing teams on a regular basis.

This position operates in a fast-paced environment(link removed) You must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision and be able to develop new ideas and adapt to last-minute changes. Youll frequently manage issues of the day by triaging, developing strategies, getting relevant stakeholders involved, and then executing quickly.

This role reports to the CMO.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer communications (~65% of the role)
  • Manage the creation, editing, approval, and delivery of all Veracross and Magnus Health customer communications (product releases, outages, roadmaps, etc.) averaging 4-6 / week.
  • Collaborate with other departments across the business on specific communication objectives and execute in a customer-first manner to the appropriate audiences.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of Veracross and Magnus products, services, and roadmaps.
  • Participate in release planning, product launches, and organizational readiness meetings and activities as needed.
  • Recommend new approaches for customer communication, including new messaging, new templates, or strategic changes to delivery methods.
  • Guide teams approach to writing communications through appropriate voice and personas
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of all communications, including RFP responses.
  • Partner communications (~25% of role)
  • Coordinate partner marketing for new and existing integration, referral, and preferred partners.
  • Articulate partnership value proposition, aligning with key internal and partner stakeholders
  • Communicate all facets of partnership to customers and the market through product documentation, customer communities, webinars, email marketing, etc.
  • Manage communication and promotion of the Veracross Service Partner program and Veracross Certification program.
  • Internal communications (~10% of role)
  • Assist as needed with internal employee communications regarding culture and employer branding.
  • Coordinate messaging & branding with HR business partners

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing compelling customer and partner communications programs.
  • Incredibly well organized, able to execute project planning responsibilities with a detailed understanding of strategic objectives, key stakeholders, and workflows,
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience utilizing email automation and customer relationship management systems (examples: Pardot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging innovative approaches/systems/ technologies to reach key audiences in new and impactful ways.
  • BA or BS in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of communications experience, preferably in software industry. EdTech experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience writing for a customer audience
