DIRECTOR OF AGENCY DEVELOPMENT

About You:

You are an experienced sales and business development professional with a deep understanding of the marketing agency space across multiple verticals. You have a proven track record of building and scaling successful agency partnerships and are skilled at managing and mentoring a team of direct reports. You have exceptional presentation skills and are highly skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, prospects, and third-party partners. You are analytical and data-driven, with a strong ability to leverage insights to develop and execute effective marketing strategies. You are also highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

About the Position:

TheDirector of Agency Developmentwill head Level Agencys business development team, assuming direct accountability for agency revenue goals working across multiple industry verticals. This role reports to our Vice President of Development & Strategic Partnerships. The salary range for this position is $100k-$150k.

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work and will perform the work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor visas.

Your Impact

  • Prospect management: You'll manage relationships with prospects, gaining their buy-in to Level Agency and our ways of working by effectively communicating the agency's value proposition and unique selling points, building rapport and trust, and addressing any concerns or objections.
  • Partnership development: You'll develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and onboard new agency partners, expanding our agency's network and driving revenue growth by prospecting and nurturing relationships with potential partners, assessing their fit with our agency's values and capabilities, and negotiating mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You'll collaborate with cross-functional team leads to grow relationships with existing clients, capitalizing on opportunities to provide them with additional value by identifying their needs and pain points, proposing solutions, and building and maintaining strong relationships that lead to increased revenue and long-term partnerships.
  • Revenue goal setting: You'll work closely with the Agencys executive and leadership teams to set company revenue goals and chart the key performance indicators necessary to gauge success by collaborating with other teams to align goals and metrics, analyzing market trends and performance data, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Market research: You'll identify new market opportunities where the Agency can gain market share by expanding available products and services through conducting market research, analyzing competitive landscapes, and collaborating with internal teams to develop new offerings.
  • Contract management: You'll work closely with the legal team on contract negotiation and signature processes by managing contract negotiations, ensuring legal compliance, and providing support to the legal team as needed.
  • Content creation: You'll participate in the creation of agency blogs, webinars, and podcasts to raise our agency profile and communicate thought leadership by contributing ideas and content, collaborating with the marketing team, and promoting the agency's content through various channels.

Requirements

  • Expert presentation and storytelling skills to deliver compelling presentations to clients, prospects, and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, with a track record of mentoring and developing direct reports.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with prospects and clients.
  • Ability to create and execute a strategic plan for agency partnership development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiation and management, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify potential issues and risks.
  • Proven experience in pipeline management with a strong understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Experience with an agency RFP process, including developing proposals and responding to RFPs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the marketing agency space and multiple verticals (B2B, e-commerce, education, etc.) with a keen ability to identify opportunities for growth in each.
  • Ability to work within an established process while also seeking to make process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience using collaboration tools such as Teams, Slack, Asana, or similar platforms; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technology tools.
