Making A Difference Foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to alleviate food insecurity in our community. As our Food Bank Manager, you would oversee the daily operations of our food bank, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service and that they have access to the resources they need to stay healthy and thrive. You would also work closely with other members of our team to develop and implement strategies for increasing food donations, managing inventory, and expanding our programs to better serve our clients. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the food bank, including food sourcing, inventory management, and client services.
  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing food donations, building community partnerships, and expanding our programs.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the food bank.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to develop and implement fundraising and marketing initiatives to support the food bank.
  • Coordinate with other community organizations to identify and address the root causes of food insecurity in our community.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports on food bank activities and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in nonprofit management, with a focus on food security programs.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team of volunteers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies for managing inventory and increasing donations.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Sick time - 1 hour for every 40 hours worked

12 holidays per year

Vacation time after one year of employment. Full-time employees begin with 2 weeks per year accrual and Part-time employees (more than 30 hours per week) begin accrual at 1 week per year.

Full time employees are eligible for medical, dental, sick, vacation, long and short term disability, life insurance, vision, dental the first of the month after 60 days of employment. MADF pays 90 percent of these insurances.
