The selected candidate will serve as the maternity cover for our Senior Director of Growth Marketing, joining our burgeoning beauty brand to become a fundamental member of our marketing leadership team. We are looking for an analytical, entrepreneurial, results-focused Interim Senior Director of Growth to drive the management and delivery of programs across diverse strategies, including: paid social, search, podcasting, affiliates, and influencer. In addition, this role will oversee our internal analytics initiatives, including reporting and forecasting. The ideal candidate has proven success in executing digital marketing campaigns end-to-end, possesses a firm understanding of various growth marketing tactics, and has experience managing teams. Reporting to the SVP of Growth & E-commerce, this role will work cross-functionally within our company to support our continued growth. This is a temporary role covering maternity leave for 8 months. The maternity cover will run approximately from July 10, 2023 to March 1, 2024.

Responsibilities

Growth Marketing

  • Drive strategy and execution of growth marketing to profitably scale efforts across all channels (SEM, paid social, podcasting, affiliates), explore channel mix, and assess overall spend levels.
  • Oversee teams day-to-day management of channel operations in tandem with the development of the channels long-term strategy.
  • Own budget for all paid performance marketing initiatives, inclusive of acquisition spend forecasts to support company goals.
  • Oversee management of our rigorous testing methodology and ideation for creative, new channels, new placements, and other factors to drive growth.
  • Understand the customer journey across channels and inform optimizations based on incrementality and attribution (experience with crafting and analyzing tests to determine incrementality).
  • Oversee key vendor relationships with Google, Meta, Pinterest and TikTok, working to deepen our partnerships and ensure optimal account support is in place.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor an existing team of high-performing growth marketers.

Influencer & Affiliate Marketing

  • Support the Director of Influencer in managing our growing influencer team, optimizing and scaling our existing programs, and building relationships with key industry partners.
  • Work with the team to analyze campaign performance against established KPIs to provide performance insights to key stakeholders and efficiently scale our program.
  • Maintain an understanding of the influencer marketing landscape, tools, and innovations with a strong understanding of upcoming & ongoing trends on social media platforms.
  • Oversee relationship with our external VIP agency, ensuring this program supports and enhances our internal influencer strategy

Analytics

  • Help steer and develop our ongoing measurement journey to incorporate our new attribution tool into our existing measurement techniques.
  • Prepare and present progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to team, cross-functional groups, and leadership.
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis, forecasting, and strategic reporting, including marketing performance trends, drivers, and initiative measurement.
  • Lead marketing analytics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, expertise, and high performance.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in performance marketing (paid social, display, audio, paid search) of significant scale, preferably in e-commerce
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams
  • Data-driven decision making capabilities, including being able to triangulate differing data sources to develop and inform strategies
  • Experience managing performance and strategic direction of external vendors
  • Positive, committed and collaborative attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, non-verbal, intuitive, psychic et al)
  • Must be willing to fall in love with our products, meditate with our team and have fun while we work

Base Salary Range:

$130,000 - $218,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include work experience and skill level).
