CoCreativ is seeking an IT Manager to lead IT services for the group.

The IT Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, 24/7 monitoring, and supporting our datacenter with its servers and systems in Tribeca, along with offices in Los Angeles and Brooklyn.

This role will oversee multiple functional areas including linux and windows servers, clustered Isilon storage, various VMWare clusters and our 10gig and 1gig networks. An important aspect of this role will be to ensure the reliability and uptime of our key systems and technologies while ensuring that we have a strong focus on automation, backup, security and solving problems proactively. This role will also be responsible for establishing IT standards that support the broader security and manageability objectives of CoCreativ and Industrial Color, while working closely with our key divisions to ensure that the systems they depend on are performing optimally.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a small team of 3 while leading the development of IT projects involving our high-speed networks and clustered storage systems.

This role is based on-site, 5 days a week, in our Tribeca office and reports directly to the CEO.


Responsibilities

  • All IT systems implementation & maintenance
  • Backup and disaster recovery
  • IT security
  • IT Processes documentation (SLAs, BCP, Disaster Recovery Plan)
  • Proposing systems improvements
  • Proposing technical solutions to improve our day-to-day operations
  • Manage CapEx spending
  • Manage and minimize IT budgets
  • Track all IT equipment
  • Plan for technology disruption and technology improvement planning
  • Coaching and developing the IT team to improve their career growth and professionalism
  • Create and improve the customer service mindset amongst the IT team

  • Proactively managing the IT budget
  • Manage equipment maintenance contracts in a timely fashion
  • Investment planning for equipment
  • Improve existing documentation and communication to be used by various departments (security, reliability, audits, processes, training, policies)
  • Work closely with our Human Resources team to provide a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including but not limited to the hardware and software needs of new joiners
  • Communication, including within your team, cross-functionally, as well inter-divisionally

Requirements

  • Hands on IT Support Experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing a small IT team
  • 7+ years of relevant technical experience working in large scale production operations preferably with responsibility for datacenter operations.
  • EMC Isilon storage management
  • Proven skills in managing complex workloads, prioritizing work, and executing long-term projects in the face of short-term fires.
  • Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with many internal teams including key business stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining multi-data center, multi-instance architectures (N+1, Active-Active, A-B stack, full DR failover capability) is highly desired
  • Proven experience working with 1 and 10gig networks, CDN technologies, robust DNS and IP Space architectures, DDOS mitigation strategies, WAN optimizations and regional performance troubleshooting and remediation
  • Technical hands-on experience with Virtualization, Cloud Architectures, Systems, Storage, Databases, and Networks
  • Understand information security best practices
  • Ability to work independently and to self-organize

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $130,000 - 150,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
