Morningstar Corp is seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our team in the Renewables & Environment industry. As the leading supplier of solar controllers and inverters, we are dedicated to providing mission-critical solutions to our clients all over the world. As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems that support our business processes. You will work closely with our team of engineers, technicians, and other IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our products and services. Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications using various programming languages and tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Develop and maintain documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and user manuals
• Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues
• Perform code reviews to maintain code quality, organization, and continuous integration
• Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities
• Provide technical support and assistance to internal and external clients

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in software development and engineering
• Proficient in Swift; some experience with Python
• Experience with CoreBluetooth (Bluetooth LE) on iOS devices
• Experience with releasing an app to the App Store
• Willingness to work with prototype hardware, e.g. using a benchtop power supply to run a developer sample
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred candidates will possess:

• Located in Maryland/DC area
• Knowledge of some CI/CD process
• Experience with one or more of the following: Combine
