S&K Building Services is expanding our team across the nation and looking for a Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician! In this role, youll partner with a team member to clean and inpsect the kitchen hood exhaust system. Beyond that, if youre looking for advancement opportunities, we love to train and promote from within!

This position will support Pro Clean, an S&K acquired company.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Communicate with site contact before, during, and after completion of work, and retrieve customer endorsement on work order.
• Per work order, clean and inpsect the kitchen hood exhaust system.
• Transport and set-up equipment including hanging plastic sheeting, mixing chemicals, ladders, wet/dry vacuums, pre-sprayers, garden hoses, and high-pressure hoses, followed by subsequent breakdown of equipment.
• Prep the jobsite with protective plastic
• Pre-scrape and powerwash hoods, ducts, filters and exhaust fans.
• Climb the roof to inspect the fans for deficiencies and to gain access to the vertical duct work.
• Degrease, wipe, and polish all stainless steel.
• Effectively clean up after each job by placing back the filters and ensuting that there is no residue, waste water, or trash left behind.
• Report mechanical deficiencies of customer and/or company equipment to management.
• Ensure that the company vehicle is clean, maintained, and adequately stocked with supplies at all times.
• Attend weekly safety meetings.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have 1+ year(s) of relevant experience.
• You are able able to work overnight varying shift times.
• You have reliable transportation to/from work and job sites.
• You have a clean-cut appearance and able to adhere to our dress code.
• You are able to scale and utilize ladders from 5ft to 40ft in height (safety training provided).
• You have excellent time-management skills.
• You adhere to high ethical standard.
• You work well in a team environment.
• You are professional with interpersonal and communication skills.

NICE TO HAVE

• Prior trade/kitchen exhaust hood cleaning experience.
• You are bilingual (English & Spanish).
