We have an immediate opening for a Linux Systems Administrator at our aerospace location in Salt Lake City Utah. This is a contract position with potential to convert to regular full-time employment.
Job Overview Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
Ensure system security and implement security measures
Perform system backups and disaster recovery operations
Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize system performance
Create and maintain system documentation
Manage user accounts and permissions
Install and configure software applications
Maintain system updates and patches
Provide technical support to users
Responsibilities and Duties Should be proficient in:
System installation (i.e. anaconda/kickstart/Satellite)
Understanding LDAP server/client infrastructure
Writing scripts (i.e. bash, perl, python, etc)
System troubleshooting (i.e. disk usage, log review, sar, etc.)
System tools troubleshooting (i.e. ssh, httpd, yum, etc.)
Remote Desktop/VNC
Hardening procedures
Requirements
Should be proficient in:
