We are looking for a diligent and thorough Line QC to join our team.

This role will report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for the following:

• Conduct line inspections and verify the control parameters according to procedures and instructions for production, filling, and packaging process.
• Record results of the inspection, including weight, filling temperature, packaging material, product code, container closure, etc.
• Ensure Batch records are maintained appropriately
• Observe and report on proper execution of SOPs in packaging and suggest edits for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with QA Management on edits to documentation.
• Perform GMP/hygiene inspection based on GMP and hygiene standards. Correct GMP/hygiene violation and report to production supervisor and/or QA Manager.
• All jobs shall be conducted timely according to QA/QC work instruction.

• Conduct daily sanitation inspections and verifying line-clearance, including pre-operation inspection and post-operation inspection.
• Perform ATP test and environmental swabbing.
• Monitor environmental air quality and inspect employees hygiene condition.

• Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials according to QA/QC specifications.
• Take samples as needed, log and update raw materials and receiving records.

• Observe and record nonconforming products/production and promptly record, and communicate with production supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager for immediate action.
• Make routine decisions for product holding, production line holding, etc, and verify with Managers for correction and corrective action and document the incident accordingly.
• Calibrate equipment used for inspections and report immediately if the device is malfunctioning.
• Assist Quality Assurance Manager with any tasks related to quality compliance.
• Other assignments as needed.

Requirements

• 1 years of experience in quality
• Basic math skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of food allergens
• Knowledge of compliance in a food facility
• Competency in computer programs (Excel & Google Suite)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and organize multiple tasks
• Working knowledge of production equipment and ability to disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment in a sanitary manner a plus.
• Be comfortable working at two locations; Portland and Watershed Facility if needed.
