This position is for an inventory specialist in a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility based in Statesville, NC. This is a full time, temp-to-hire position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform safe work practices when lifting product and working around machinery.
Organize hardware, supplies, tools, and finished goods within the designated area(s).
Pick, lift, organize, and move hardware, raw material, purchased parts, tools, and kits to support manufacturing
Perform inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy in operating system.
Document incoming and outgoing product in designated area(s) to monitor usage and minimum purchasing requirements.
Assist with production needs, look for parts, organize supplies, maintain a clean and organized work area, and assist with any other tasks directed by manager
Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice/procedures
Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock
Effectively utilize ERP system
Experience:
Inventory control: 1 year (Preferred)
Manufacturing: 1 year (Required)
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Basic math
Good written and verbal communication
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook/Gmail)
Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
Capability to operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Ability to work 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:30pm
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Ability to pass drug and background check
