Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Mobile Crisis team in Pittsboro, NC.

The Mobile Crisis Team Leader are to supervise the Mobile Crisis Team members, schedule the Mobile Crisis Unit, and provide clinical backup and support to the mobile team. This position will also interface with other administrative staff; provide direct clinical care and on-call services as necessary. These services may include, but are not limited to, all supports, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated crisis response, crisis stabilization interventions, and crisis prevention activities.


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide clinical expertise, direction and supervision to the Mobile Crisis Team members as well as provide consultation to all staff positions working within the parameters of the Crisis Program.
  • Determine staff training needs of the Mobile Crisis Team personnel and be responsible for arranging for training to be provided.
  • Serve as a backup for on-call personnel in case of equipment failure or for consultation in particularly difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Provide direct services to individuals who have requested services or who need services as identified by Screening, Triage and Referral (STR), the MCM team, community service providers such as hospitals and law enforcement, or CIT officers. The intervention may include: face-to-face or telephone assessment, behavioral or family intervention, hospital or respite placement, recommendation for further intervention, the creation of a crisis plan, or follow-up assessment.
  • Generate all required crisis intervention notes, crisis plans, billing forms, and service notes regarding all contacts and other appropriate medical records documentation.
  • Driving and travel may be required.
  • Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in a Human Services related field is required. (A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field and a North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license or QP / QMHP certification may be substituted for the Master's Degree.)
  • Must have at least one of the following North Carolina licenses: LCSW-A, LCSW, LMFT-A, LMFT, LCAS-A, LCAS, LCMHC-A or LMHC.
  • At least 4 years of post-graduate experience working with people with mental health or substance abuse issues (per DHHS staff definition).
  • A valid Driver's License is also required.
