Member Communications is a key part of our Partner Success Team and focuses on strategically getting the right message in front of each member at the right time to drive conversion and increase orders for our 1,000+ partners.

The Marketing Coordinator is key in determining how we communicate with and engage our members during key dates and moments in their GOVX journey. This includes member onboarding, browse, post cart and post purchase communication and birthday emails. It is an exciting time to join this team because we are strategically building out our messages across all key channels in a personalized and automated way. The goal over the next 24 months is to reduce our blast email sends and lean into personalized emails and homepage to much smaller portions of our audience.

Additionally, this role ensures that our marketing processes are organized, assets coordinated, and deadlines are met. With 1,000+ partners on GOVX it is important that every touchpoint with the customer helps them discover and place orders from our sellers.


Detailed Description and Sample Tasks

  • Learn all the systems that support our largest marketing channels to maximize each campaign implementation. Marketing channels include but are not limited to:
    • Email
    • GOVX Homepage
    • GOVX Ecommerce backend
    • Personalization engine
    • A/B testing engine
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and creative teams to ensure that all required assets supporting a campaign are complete, accurate and on time.
  • Create clear requests in the GOVX project management system and follow projects to make sure that workflows are efficient, and projects are delivered ahead of any deadlines.
  • Manage QA and revisions for all campaigns with extreme attention to every detail to ensure the marketing content we share with customers is without error.
  • Track A/B tests and promotions that succeed in email and homepage.
  • Test algorithms and segmenting audiences to improve customer engagement and profitability.
  • Upgrade email templates using personalization, copy, and advanced features.
  • Understand analytics and reporting to assist the team with reporting and ensure that decisions are backed by data.
  • Understand the GOVX catalog to ensure we are maximizing all traffic from member communications.

    • Best converting partners
    • New partners and pipeline
    • Brands and categories that resonate with specific audience segments
  • Share ownership of trigger emails including:
    • Collaborate with copywriters and creative team to develop new engaging content
    • Segment audience lists based off behaviors and affiliations
    • Upgrade emails using personalization, copy and advanced features
    • Track and test campaign success regularly

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Understanding of analytics and how to make a data driven decision.
  • Solution and results oriented.
  • Passionate and mission driven.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when switching between tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or a similar web analytics platform.


Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Travel Requirements
No travel is expected for this position.


Work Location
This is a hybrid position that combines working onsite at the GOVX corporate office in San Diego, CA and working remotely from home. You will be required to report to the office a minimum of three days per week. Due to training and team collaboration requirements of this position, the candidate must live and work in San Diego, CA. No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.


Pay Range
$24.04 - $24.04 per hour
