About Echoing Green
Echoing Green identifies tomorrows transformational leaders today. Echoing Greens Programs Team is responsible for selecting and supporting the Fellows who are selected as part of the REPF, offering funding and capacity-building for the incredible leaders working on the frontlines of racial equity and justice.

Scope and Responsibilities
The Principal Gift Officer will play an integral role in supporting Echoing Greens goals by guiding the development, cultivation, and solicitation strategies for principal gifts at the 6-, 7- and
8-figure levels. To ensure the success of the effort, the ideal Principal Gifts Officer will lead execution of potential prospect and donor constituencies, including the expansion of individual, corporate, and foundation support.

The position has remote and hybrid options and will report to the Vice President of Development.
What You'll Do
The Principal Gifts Officer will be responsible for the following workstreams while exercising excellent judgement and professionalism:
- Develop networks of donors leading to the identification of new potential high-capacity donors by working with Echoing Green leadership and in coordination with the Board of Directors.
- Track prospects, developing and implementing customized strategies for cultivation and solicitation of each prospect, including setting goals, objectives and a set of moves leading to closing gifts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of philanthropic trends in order to educate and demonstrate best practices for colleagues.
- Serves as an effective spokesperson and an ambassador for Echoing Green.
- Maintain departmental files, documents, and procedures
- Participating in managing fundraising activities and special events.
Requirements
What You'll Bring
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive development experience with demonstrated success soliciting and closing 7-and 8-figure gifts.
- Familiarity with all facets of development, including capital campaigns and Planned Giving and a demonstrable understanding of how to manage a portfolio of rated prospects.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with major gift prospects and to close gifts.
- Experience working with/navigating a CRM such as Salesforce.
- Collaborative, flexible, and well-suited to participating in an entrepreneurial, collegial environment at all levels both internally and externally.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/ Google Suite.
- Alignment with the mission and vision of Echoing Green.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $175,000/year
Echoing Green offers a full benefits package designed to support employee wellness which includes:

While our office is located in New York City this role can be fully remote.
