Vector is seeking a Program Manager (Embedded Software) experienced in embedded development and support for automotive software applications. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact in the exciting, rapidly growing automotive electronics field by working closely with customers and colleagues for our high-demand software products.

Position Description:

• Work closely with multiple OEM and Tier1 customers to manage all aspects of their needs for embedded software products, services, support and tools used in development and production of electronic control modules.
• You will have responsibilities for understanding and guiding customers in their adoption of Vector embedded products, as well as supporting customers through all aspects of the product lifecycle (requirement, design, development, validation, and production).
• Meet with customers on a regular basis to develop positive, long-term relationships.
• Provide regular updates to all stakeholders, ensuring task progression based on project planning, milestone achievements and oversight.
• Contribute status, relevant data and constructive opinion at team/section meetings.
• Build consensus and demonstrate team-focused behavior.
• Exemplify leadership characteristics and behaviors.

Requirements

• BS EE/CE/CS Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in embedded development or testing or project management in support for automotive software applications.
• Good knowledge of hardware, software embedded system concepts and architecture, along with in-vehicle networks such as CAN, LIN, or Ethernet communications.
• Good understanding of the embedded software build process (programming, compiling, linking, etc.).
• Excels in a dynamic, customer-focused environment, with an ability to multitask.
• Clear and concise, oral and written communication skills with peers, management, and customers.
• Willingness to learn new systems and embedded applications.
• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, working on a variety of responsibilities/projects.
• Strong project, self-management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience with project management tools and processes
• Experience with Automotive embedded software systems.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR concepts, architecture, specifications, as well as configuration tools.
