The team:

Genetec is a global technology company that has been transforming the physical security industry for over 25 years. We are looking for a Regional Sales Director to manage the Genetec public sector business in the Western United States. Reporting to the National Sales Director, Public Sector, you will be responsible for growing the public sector business and managing the public sector Account Executive team.

The position is remote, with anticipated travel up to 75% of the time.

What your day will look like:

  • Develop the West sales territory for the public sector
  • Visit Customers/partners/consultants at their premises
  • Manage forecasts and achieve objectives
  • Track and report competitive issues
  • Update and maintain data in CRM or other applications
  • Acquire, maintain and report adequate knowledge of product, market and competition
  • Stay abreast of the products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services
  • Assist Marketing with local or national initiatives
  • Responsible for the commercial strategy of channels and relationship with the market; Between customers and technology partners
  • Establishment, monitoring and execution of internal goals and Business Forecast by period (Quarterly, Monthly, Annual)
  • Management, direction, and improvement of the Vertical sales team, as well as project monitoring in order to articulate the strategy per project focused on results
  • Alignment of strategies by operational verticals as well as identification of new businesses and the possibility of development in the short, medium and long term
  • Internal approvals for account opening, prices and deliberation of the global strategy for commercial operations
  • Assist in contact and relationship with the market in creating relationships of trust between directors of other companies
  • Ensure the implementation of the channel policy and project registration, as well as seek the structuring of work and maintenance of policies and processes autonomously
  • Take on sales manager assignments if they are unavailable or not on target to carry them out

About you:

  • Must have 5+ years experience in the Security Industry preferably with VMS, Access Control or a PSIM platform
  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communication, Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience managing a sales team
  • Experience in the security industry with ability to maintain contacts at different levels
  • Excellent presentation skills and a strong closer
  • Ability to work in a complex sales environment
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers, integrators, consultants
  • Must have strong time management skills
  • Proven sales achievement/track record
  • Must have a valid passport/Drivers license
  • Able to travel up to 75%
  • Leadership skills
  • Verbal and written communication in English
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills and experience doing client demonstrations
  • Must have a valid passport/drivers license

Great if you also have:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar tool
  • Experience working with Genetec and knowledge of the Genetec offerings
