Resource Innovations is seeking a Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team. This position will be part of a dynamic, cross-functional team implementing the engagement and communication strategy across channels and platforms for Californias new market transformation program. CalMTA is focused on developing initiatives that accelerate adoption of emerging and underutilized energy efficiency technologies, services, and practices resulting in significant environmental and social benefits. There is a strong preference for California residents, but remote candidates will be considered.

As a Marketing & Communications Specialist you will perform a range of tasks supporting outreach and communications for CalMTA. This includes supporting engagement and communication strategy across channels and platforms including social media, website development and maintenance, collateral development and maintenance, events management and promotion, reporting and outreach. This position works collaboratively with internal teams as well as external parties.

Candidates must have strong communication and time management skills with experience coordinating multiple high-quality deliverables on tight deadlines. Successful candidates will be proactive in developing new solutions and processes, adaptable to change and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports our engagement and communications team in:
    • Design, copy editing, and posting/sending all program communications (newsletter, web updates, social media, email announcements, etc.)
    • Editing and formatting professional publications and other content for external audiences (annual/quarterly reports, MTI-related reporting)
    • Image library and other asset management
    • Ongoing maintenance of the (link removed) website
  • Plans and executes educational webinars and coordination on outreach events including integration into regular online communications platforms
  • Manages communications calendar for sharing of news and information via all channels
  • Oversees CRM for contact management and newsletters distribution
  • Establishes and maintains a professional partner rapport with stakeholders, including identifying and anticipating partner needs and proposing solutions
  • Functions as a cooperative and cohesive member of project teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. preferred
  • 5+ years work experience; 2+ years in energy efficiency preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM software, Salesforce preferred
  • Highly motivated and positive attitude
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Commitment to high-quality partner and team service and the ability to address issues/concerns
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demands
  • Interest or experience in a field related to energy or sustainability
  • High degree of inter-cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness

Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on candidate's qualifications. Resource Innovations also offers three weeks paid vacation per year, paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with employee matching funds, a discretionary bonus and an overall comprehensive benefits package.

The compensation range for this exempt position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year. The stated range is based on a good faith estimate for the duties, responsibilities, skills and experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. Compensation may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates with industry experience.
