Client is looking for a senior Consultant to join our Data Analytics team. Consultant should have expert-level Power BI development and design skills and some experience working in hospital / provider environment. The consultant's primary responsibility will be converting legacy BI Applications built in WebFocus to PowerBI.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for augmenting client's existing business intelligence team, as well as collaborate, mentor, and share knowledge on Power BI best practices.
Interact with power-users/business executives to understand and document their requirements in support the client's goal of improving patient outcomes.
Consultant should be able to create logical data models that support complex reports and dashboards.
Ability to assess and make data architecture improvement recommendations where appropriate.
Consultant required to know how to best utilize DAX within Power BI, but they should also be familiar with SQL to the point they can understand existing and create new queries to help source reports.
Requires ability to translate complex data structures into presentable and attractive visual features using Power BI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, working as part of a large team, as well as communicate goals, assumptions, and risks to project stakeholders.
Experience working with Microsoft BI stack (SQL, SSIS/SSRS).
Advanced understanding of T-SQL, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, etc.
Solid understanding of programming SQL objects (procedures, triggers, views, functions) in SQL Server.
Experience with hospital/provider solutions like EPIC is a plus! (EMH, EMR codes, Billing, etc.)

10+ years Power BI / SQL experience
Power BI Creation & Enhancement
Ability to convert WebFocus reports to Power BI
Strong data mapping and modelling skills
Expert-level SQL
Healthcare provider experience required
Certifications (a plus)
