Your Title: Internal Audit and Risk Manager

Your Location: Hybrid - 1 day in Needham, MA office per week and 4 days remote

You Report To:Chief Financial Officer

Compensation: starting at $110,000+ plus annual bonus!

The Internal Audit and Risk Manager will engage with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate and enhance the Companys internal control environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Manages all third-party internal and independent external audit engagements in coordination with the appropriate business lines.
  • In coordination with various business lines, the CFO and the Audit Committee, will develop and implement a comprehensive risk-based internal audit schedule and ensure that audit scope, depth, and frequency are commensurate with risk.
  • Perform audit tracking to include developing management response, track findings through resolution and perform corrective action validation.
  • Evaluate internal controls, both operational and financial reporting, and make recommendations to correct or enhance the internal control structure.
  • Maintain independence from business line decision making while collaborating to ensure appropriate control structures and methods are considered.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing vendor management program.
  • Periodically provide quality assurance of the third-party auditors through workpaper review and other methods.
  • Keep informed of anticipated changes in Company policies, procedures, and new products.
  • Utilize appropriate and collaborative interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management and the Audit Committee.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors degree with degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years internal or external audit experience with strong background in consumer finance and/or banking
  • Knowledge in application of internal audit theory, standards, procedures, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and techniques.
  • Excellent spreadsheet software skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships across the company and with third-party staff to ultimately get results
  • Ability to work independently on projects, or as part of a team as needed.
