We are looking for a local Fiber Splicer in Sarasota, FL to work NIGHT SHIFTS(link removed)>

As a Fiber Splicer, you will use your skills and best practices to splice, connect, repair, and maintain existing fiber cables for delivering telecommunications services.

Responsibilities:

• Install and splice fiber optic cables including both, loose tube and ribbon cables;
• Construct proper splice case, including but not limited to grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing;
• Safely operate and use a bucket truck to complete daily construction (splicing) assignments as needed (potentially climb poles) in a timely, effective, and safe manner;
• Perform OTDR & Power Meter Testing;
• Complete daily production reports to document performed activities and track daily materials;
• Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on assigned vehicles, trailers, and equipment (test sets, hand tools, and other assets);
• Perform other splicing-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of Fiber Optic Splicing experience;
• Ability to work night shifts up to 6 days a week; (Sunday-Friday)
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve job-related problems;
• A valid, unrestricted Driver's License is a must;
• Ability to travel to different job sites in the region.
