YOUR ROLE

The Mountain Studio Manager (MSM) Bozeman is the team and performance leader of Stios newest Mountain Studio location. Ongoing responsibilities include driving sales, ensuring store profitability, and providing an exceptional experience that is true to the Stio brand as customer acquisition is gained in this new market. The MSM creates and meets budget objectives for both revenue and operating expenses and adjusts operating procedures and staffing to compensate for budget shifts. In managing the marketing and merchandising efforts for the new location, the MSM creates strategies to engage the local community and welcome them into the Mountain Studio. In hiring and training the team, this leader fosters a culture of trust, accountability, and balance among your staff, ensures a strong working knowledge of Stio products, provides professional leadership, and guarantees best in class operations and service.

The MSM reports to the Retail Area Manager.

This role is performed in our Mountain Studio location. The Mountain Studio Manager must live within a reasonable commute of our upcoming Bozeman Mountain Studio, located on Main Street in downtown Bozeman.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute an exceptional retail environment for our customers and community
  • Inspire and lead team on the sales floor while working alongside them each day
  • Hire and develop associate manager, full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees
  • Forecast and manage the store budget, including revenue and operating expenses
  • Proactively implement plans to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Implement strategies to drive new customer acquisition and presence in a new market
  • Plan and execute visual merchandising and marketing plans
  • Serve as the liaison between your store team and corporate leadership
  • Proactively manage schedule and availability to ensure leadership presence
  • Develop and collaborate with a Part-Time Retail Marketing Coordinator plus HQ team to support local activation and marketing initiatives for the Bozeman, Montana area and surrounding markets

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years in retail leadership and/or operations required
  • Retail leadership and/or management experience leading 2+ employees required
  • Experience in building teams and connecting in new market communities
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive space for every person who enters the Mountain Studio
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with teams at every level of seniority, and across the local community
  • Exceptional customer experience, organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required
  • Budget ownership experience required, additional forecasting experience preferred
  • Inventory management experience required
  • Proven experience in visual merchandising required
  • High school equivalency or GED required
  • Bachelors or associate degree preferred
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office required and Google Suite preferred

THE FINE PRINT

  • Annual salary $65,000 to $80,000 based on experience

  • Must be able to move items upwards of 50 lbs, occasionally traverse ladders
  • Available to work a combination of opening, closing, weekend and holiday season shifts to support the business and scheduling needs in combination with the Associate Studio Manager
