IT Lab Infrastructure Support Specialist
Day1 Onsite
Milwaukee, Waukesha


The candidate will be a member of an IT team (ETSS Engineering Solutions and Support) that specializes in collaborating with HealthCare product engineering teams to provide the infrastructure and services to meet engineering objectives. This includes on-prem data centers/data rooms/labs ops, and internal support of those operations.
Candidate will collaborate directly with engineering teams to understand infrastructure requirements, develop solutions with the IT team, manage solution projects, and act as a focal point for issue escalations.
This candidate would also be working with various other internal IT Experts and associates for issues resolution, solution development etc.
Candidate is accountable to ETSS leadership and responsible for working with Engineering teams on infrastructure related solutions and support.
Working location will be shared between GE Healthcare's Stockholm Sweden site primarily and Linkoping Sweden secondary.

Skillset:

Must have English speaking/writing skills to communicate
Must be self motivated and work independently at times
Must have L2 experience in gathering technical requirements, producing documentation, and managing technical projects.
Must have the ability to triage, document, troubleshoot, engage owners and support teams for operational issues and facilitate solutions.
Must have L2+ experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting
Must have L2 experience in a physical data center, engineering labs, familiar with racking, cabling, networking connections, inventory control.
Must have L2 experience with networking principals, wireless concepts, IP routing and device configuration.
Must have awareness of virtualization technologies with L1-2 experience with VMware vSphere.
Must have L2 experience with windows administration
Must have L2+ experience in storage administration; especially regarding backup strategy, recovery, mirroring and managing large disk arrays.
Highly desired L1-2 experience in lab/data center migrations/relocations
Highly desired L1-2 experience with identity alignments and certificates/licenses operations/technologies
Must be able to comply with local and country laws along with site EHS standards.
