  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Founded in 1978, the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (Northwest Mountain - MSDC) is a nonprofit organization certifying, developing, and connecting Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) with major corporations and public agencies. We are an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) providing certification, membership and subscription services to the Pacific Northwest Mountain region which includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Core Competencies

  • Certify: Through our rigorous certification process, the Northwest Mountain MSDC enables meaningful business engagements between minority-owned businesses and corporate/public agency members that wish to engage in business with diverse suppliers.
  • Develop: The Northwest Mountain MSDC develops its certified minority business enterprises capacity through educational programming, corporate and MBE-to-MBE development, and our partnership with Executive Education Institutions.
  • Connect: MBE network helps corporate/public agency members connect with diverse suppliers across industries. Additionally, we facilitate both formal and informal introductions between MBEs of all sizes that may benefit from one another.
  • Advocate: The Northwest Mountain MSDC, its board of directors, and MBE input committee advocate for diversity in supply chain practices. They actively support policies and legislation that promote greater diversity in the public and private sectors.


The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Program Coordinator to organize and coordinate programs.

You will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the companys culture.

You will also oversee the progress of operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.

The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.


Responsibilities

  • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
  • Coordinate cross-project activities
  • Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
  • Apply change, risk and resource management
  • Assume responsibility for the programs people and vendors
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
  • Resolve projects higher scope issues
  • Prepare reports for program directors

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Program Coordinator or Project Coordinator position
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

Benefits

  • Salary ranging from $50-60k with room to grow
  • Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage 1st day of the month after 90 days

  • Paid Vacation Accrual: 80 hours per year (first 5 years)
