CT/X-Ray Tech- ***ATTRACTIVE PAY*** - Imaging Procedures: Radiology Technologists perform a variety of imaging procedures using specialized equipment such as X-ray machines, computed tomography (CT) scanners, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, or fluoroscopy equipment. They follow physician orders or protocols to capture images of the specific body parts or areas of interest.
- Patient Preparation: Before performing imaging procedures, Radiology Technologists prepare patients by explaining the procedure, addressing any concerns, and ensuring their comfort. They position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while considering patient safety and radiation protection measures.
- Equipment Operation: Radiology Technologists are proficient in operating and adjusting imaging equipment to capture accurate images. They follow established protocols and guidelines to set up the equipment, select appropriate imaging parameters, and apply radiation protection measures to minimize patient and operator exposure.
- Image Quality Assurance: Radiology Technologists are responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of the images they produce. They evaluate the image quality, positioning, and exposure factors to determine if additional images or adjustments are necessary. They also collaborate with radiologists or other healthcare professionals to discuss any concerns or potential abnormalities.
- Patient Safety and Radiation Protection: Radiology Technologists adhere to strict safety protocols to protect patients, themselves, and other personnel from unnecessary radiation exposure. They use shielding devices, such as lead aprons and collimators, and employ proper radiation techniques to minimize radiation dose without compromising diagnostic image quality.
