Dration- 6 Months+ Contract Job Location: Houston, TX -Hybrid W2 only Pay rate- $60-75/hr on w2 - The Systems Administrator III is responsible for the administration and maintenance of all storage systems.
- The position provides support to the larger team with regard to database storage management, server storage for Windows and Linux OS's, server installations for Windows servers, network cabling, server hardware maintenance and repair, inventory management, and data center environmental monitoring.
- System maintenance and support provided by the position is often performed outside of regular working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays. Storage and fabic technologies include Pure storage, NetApp, Cohesity and Brocade.

- Monitors, escalates, and re-mediate NAS & SAN device/application {access, performance, events} alerts to identify/ potential incidents
- Provide storage provisioning for NAS/CAS/SAN systems
- Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade Network Attached Storage (NAS) environment
- Storage Array/NAS Performance Tuning
- Requires expertise with the design, configuration, and administration, tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting for NFS/CIFS protocol on NetApp, Pure and/or Cohesity storage
- Understand and troubleshoot the SMB, NFS and CIFS shares networking protocols
- Play a key role in Business Continuity Planning and DR strategy, ensuring our designs are considered by using NetApp SnapMirror and Snapshot or Pure Replication/Snapshot technologies
- Perform change management and incident management for enterprise storage systems
- Communication - Work effectively with other Infrastructure groups including the Network, Server & Database teams the Application Development teams
- Provide support for new systems and projects (working with vendors, other platform support teams) and implement the tools to enable the ongoing support
- Provide 24x7 IT storage operations support in a team on a rotation and on-call basis
- Communicate written incident updates using team standards in a pre-determined time bound fashion to all levels of IT and business audience
- Assess impacts of issues and ensure proper severity assignment for incidents by researching the business impact via interfacing teams or the acquired knowledge
- Work with 3rd party resources (onsite or offshore) in support of storage products deployed within the company
