We are currently searching for a Logistics & Production Coordinator to be part of our Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will manage both procurement and the development of demand forecasts in anticipation of customer needs and in alignment with our organizations sales goals. This role will direct the review of historical sales trends and forecasts, review statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results. This role will coordinate communication with the sales, product management, marketing, finance, and engineering team to ensure the accurate information is available for forecasts.

What youll do:

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts of all product skus for their accountable segment of the business by using a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insights gained via partnering with sales, product management, Operations and Finance departments.
  • Play an important role in the annual planning process and access the SIOP planning team. Ensure linkage to the monthly volume forecast as part of the financial forecast process and support ongoing system improvements.
  • This position will manage finished goods scheduling and stock allocations by multiple 3PLs. They will balance production and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with customer service.
  • Systematically identify and reconcile discrepancies and close gaps among inputs on an ongoing basis.
  • Track weekly/monthly forecast error results versus established targets and identify and report cause for forecast misses.
  • Ensure successful customer promotion execution through planning and leveraging of important customer event inputs.
  • Assist with purchasing work from the R&D team and issue PO to various vendors and CMs.
  • Reconcile production backlog and adjust future production as needed.
  • Work with Operation manager to effectively manage the vendor landscape to identify cost saving opportunities through spend aggregation, negotiated cost reduction and cost avoidance.
  • Plan and create FBA shipments from the US warehouse to multiple Amazon warehouses.
  • Evaluate current Amazon workflows and processes for opportunities for improvement.
  • Audit/resolve inbound inventory issue to Amazon, ensuring all records in our eRP and Seller Central can be reconciled.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to implement the UPC/GTIN label for all current and new products.
  • Understanding basic accounting principles and making journal entries as needed.

Requirements

Education and experience:

  • 3 years of experience in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field preferable in a global manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Strong mathematical and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of international shipping, logistics, and duty/tariffs experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.
  • Excellent MS Office skills; include the ability to produce graphs, tables, use spreadsheets efficiently and perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data.
  • QuickBooks experience is preferred
