The Sr. Build & Release Engineer brings excellent troubleshooting and process skills to develop exceptional hardware and firmware solutions for electronic health records. Our ideal candidate will have robust technical skills for system administration, source code control and development environment support. They will manage inbound support requests to the team while working with internal and external teams to drive issues resolution. They will have demonstrated success in partnering with in-house Engineering and Operations teams to respond rapidly to troubleshooting needs.

Full understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps best practices;
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships;
Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills;
Ability to Work in Fast-Paced Environment and Meet Deadlines;
Troubleshoots build and deployment problems, suggest improvements and technical solutions;
Automates tasks using scripting languages
Creates and maintains documentation for build systems and environments;
Maintains accurate improvement program estimates, timelines, project plans, and status reports;
Provides process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards;
Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, content management systems, API, databases, and system design;
Supports the engineering organization with day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD ADP and VA High Risk Background clearance
- 5+ years as a developer/software engineer
- Strong Technical Capacity in scripting languages such as BASH, Python, PHP, Expect/Tcl, with SQL databases, in-depth experience with Linux core fundamentals, command-line operations, scripting and service monitoring
- Strong RedHat RHEL7 and 8 administration skills
- Strong Linux command line knowledge
- Strong background in computer networking
- Ability to build production executables from source code (Make)
- Excellent communication within Embedded and with other groups
- Knowledge of medical devices, such as ventilators, a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Experience with short release cycles and rapid customer response is a big plus.
