Description: Fully Remote Supplier Max Bill Rate: $60.77 1 position for now. Role will be responsible for interpreting and organizing clinical data through the execution of medical chart abstraction. The individual(s) will be responsible for completing data abstraction based on established project criteria and template(s) to meet key business objectives and goals. The resulting information will be combined with other data sources to allow for generation of real world evidence. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform clinical data abstraction based upon project specific work Validate abstracted clinical data in response to quality checks Provide input and recommendations to improve the overall abstraction process (abstraction guidelines, educational resources, clinical insight, abstraction workflow input) Attend project-related meetings and training as needed Assist in user-acceptance testing of the abstraction guidelines, workflows, education materials, data entry, etc. Maintain current knowledge of project requirements related to clinical data abstraction Track completion of assigned work and report status as requirements Comply with all HIPAA/HITECH standard operating procedures and policies EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in nursing or other healthcare related field preferred At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with oncology electronic medical record system(s) with at least 1 year of clinical data abstraction experience Preferred oncology expert level knowledge Demonstrated knowledge of data abstraction, with ability to abstract clinical data from PDFs and other documents within electronic medical record systems such as Epic, Varian, OncoEMR, AllScripts Demonstrated expert level knowledge of medical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Demonstrated knowledge in pharmacology and microbiology MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of medical record structure, format and content Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a professional team Outstanding attention to detail Strong data entry and quality review Self-motivated Willing to work part-time, a minimum of 10 hours per week WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate would encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
