Position - Senior MQ Administrator/Engineer Fully Remote Contract Terms: long-term contracts (2+ years is safe to say) Location: Local candidates will get preference; fully remote is acceptable. Visa Restrictions: USC, GC EAD, GC Perm, TN Must Haves: IBM MQ, Shell Scripting Nice to Haves: Store experience would be nice PERL & Unix shell scripting will stick out The work: Client is seeking a contracting position as an Integration Platform Engineer on the Integration Platforms and Engineering Team. This team is responsible for providing engineering for IBM MQ, IIB, MQFTE Connect:Direct and MessageSight platforms. We are looking for an Integration Platform Engineer to join our organization and help us with administration, support, and to automate and self-service enable integration technologies. This position will report to the Integration Services Manager. Experience Needed: All openings are Senior needs - candidates must possess 8+ years experience Additional Technology Information: Kroger is seeking a contracting position as an Integration Platform Engineer on the Integration Platforms and Engineering Team. This team is responsible for providing engineering for IBM MQ, IIB, MQFTE Connect:Direct and MessageSight platforms. We are looking for an Integration Platform Engineer to join our organization and help us with administration, support, and to automate and self-service enable integration technologies. This position will report to the Integration Services Manager. Integration Platform Engineer candidates develop and maintain software & systems to integrate internal and cloud systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM MQ and will employ DevOps tools to improve accessibility, visibility, and production stability. Expert knowledge and experience in one or more of the following is required for this role: IBM MQ all running on the RHEL Operating Systems. Experience in Azure Integration Technologies is also preferred. REQUIREMENTS: -
Expert level knowledge of one or more of the following: -
Proficient experience in administration and configuration on RHEL operating systems. -
A good working ability to write UNIX shell scripts, PERL -
A good working knowledge of Azure. -
Experience in Grafana preferred -
Experience in Terraform preferred -
Experience in Github & Github actions preferred -
Experience Artifactory -
Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, or Continuous Integration/Delivery -
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies. -
Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, SSO, data protection, encryption, certificate, and key management -
Must be very organized, able to balance multiple priorities, and self-motivated. Essential Job Functions -
Perform Integration Engineering functions including but not limited to: -
Design, develop, and implement integrations based on user feedback. -
Analyze support data and trends to reduce time and money spent towards support activities. -
Analyze security and compliance issues and be able to remediate. -
Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment. -
Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines). -
Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security. -
Deliver quality customer service and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner. Minimum Position Qualifications -
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field -
4+ years successful and applicable experience building or supporting integration platforms -
Excellent oral/written communication skills Education Level: Bachelor's Desired Required Certifications/Licenses: None Position Type: Full-time Contractor
