Position Description: The Investigative Aide is responsible for reviewing and sorting medical records (electronic and paper) from various facilities that were obtained as part of an investigation This individual will review the medical records, sort/categorize them, and index the records in an electronic file prior to uploading them to the case database. Additionally, the Aide is responsible for informing the investigator if any pertinent information is missing and may research medical procedures to ensure all relevant documentation was obtained by the Investigator. Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work independently, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude; Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities, prioritize scheduling of work, and deadline drive; Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information; Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Skills Required: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; Computer knowledge (Adobe, Word, Gmail, Excel or other similar office software); Nursing experience/certification-Preferred; Health Information Management or Registered Health Information Technician experience/certification preferred.

Experience Required: Medical records experience and knowledge, Medical terminology/procedures; Knowledge of health information management services.
