Role: Solution Architect
Location: Tampa, Florida / Remote
Job Description:
Infrastructure solutions architect with experience across cloud, Database, security. Should be able to design and architect the solution using associated tools, perform Assessments, capacity planning, Application migration,
Works with IT staff, CIO and IT Managers to deploy and configure cloud architecture (i.e., implement workloads and security, create and deploy applications, implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, secure data, cloud storage strategies). Assists with analysis of the solution design's business case. Evaluates information systems needs of agency and research most difficult or complex information system problems (e.g., design for identity, security and deployment; design a data platform solution, business continuity strategy, infrastructure strategy, migration, and integration). Meets with users to discuss projects and/or problems. Coordinates special projects and studies for information systems managers and writes reports of findings. Evaluates, analyzes and designs complex and/or interagency implementation involving heterogenous platforms, protocols and/or network operating systems
Technical Skills
Experience with architecting, developing, and deploying on Cloud platform.
Expertise in Azure Cloud migration, Azure subscription planning and network architecture
Demonstrated experience building and managing enterprise-scale IT solutions and integrating Azure IaaS and PaaS cloud technologies.
Experience with Database, Cloud Security, Data Migrations.
Demonstrated experience in migrating existing application portfolios to Azure PaaS
Core discipline experience in PaaS includes but not limited to Azure App Services-Web Apps, Azure API Manager, Azure Front door, Azure SQL Managed instance, Azure Key vaults, App Gateway, Azure DNS, Azure monitor, Azure storage accounts, Functions, logic apps, Azure AD, Azure Express route, Azure service Bus, and Azure Redis cache.
Must have experience in scalability, reliability, performance optimization, developing and deploying API based applications.
Exposure to Azure security, Private end points, Azure policy and Security centre
Hands-on experience with Terraform and possibly with Power shell
Cloud Management: Policy, RBAC roles, Cost Management, Monitor and Alerting, Site Recovery, Disaster Recovery
Identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or 3rd party.
Azure WAF (Well Architected Framework) and CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework) knowledgebase and real-world application
Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills
Relevant Certifications including Togaf will be an added advantage
Must Have
Multiple years of demonstrated experience in Systems Administration or Systems Engineering.
Linux (RHEL, CentOS) experience
Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux, with demonstrated hands-on experience on one or more of the following domains:
Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking (core need)
Monitoring, alerting and logging tools, and build/release processes highly preferred
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery models
General automation, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, Ansible highly preferred, PowerShell scripting. (core/highly desirable)
Familiarity with network topologies and technologies (DNS) with emphasis on network gateway devices (ingress/egress)
Azure Kubernetes Service Design and implementation experience
One or more Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Containers and Hyper-V containers)
Understanding of Container management strategies
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and deploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on Azure (OCI is a plus) using industry best practices leveraging the WAF and CAF based frameworks.
Design and develop automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration process when it comes to cloud infrastructure
Work closely with the Development and Operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of infrastructure (DevOps) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Analyse and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments.
