Were pioneering a new approach to diagnostic imaging, and are looking for someone resourceful, proactive and naturally entrepreneurial to drive our B2B growth. Youll be joining us at an exciting time - weve recently launched our B2B product, expanded our brand to the USA and German markets, raised 5m in VC funding, and quadrupled our global team.
We are looking for a Front-end Engineer to help us achieve our mission.
WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN
Youll be working on software that directly impacts the lives of thousands of patients around the globe. We are on a mission to make medical imaging accessible to everyone around the world, and youll have a direct input on that.
Were rebuilding the infrastructure that underpins the medical imaging ecosystem to bring it into the modern era and usher in a new, effortless medical imaging experience. Patient outcomes matter. Inefficiency shouldn't cost lives.
Youll be working closely with our backend engineers, growth team, and product management team to implement new features and maintain existing ones across our international (link removed) group brand.
As an early stages business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:
- Building and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and reusable web components
- Transforming designs into code
- Maintaining and troubleshooting existing code
- Identifying and fixing bugs
- Integrating with internal APIs built by the backend team and external ones
- Optimising existing code for performance and accessibility
- Collaborating with the design team to input on design and user experience decisions
WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE
You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:
- 4+ years experience working on the frontend
- Proficiency in front-end technologies, HTML, CSS, Javascript and React
- Ability to turn almost any design into pixel perfect frontend code using only Tailwind CSS
- Good understanding of code versioning tools including Git/Github
- Experience with third party services such as Heroku and AWS
- Comfortable writing tests using Jest or other frameworks
- A keen eye for design although you are not expected to design, you understand good UX and strive for well-designed user interfaces
- Typescript experience is a bonus
- Any start-up experience is a bonus
- Knowledge in Fullstack/Ruby on Rails is a bonus
HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:
We try to keep our interview process short and as a small business we can move through the stages quickly. Due to availability there may be a change to the order of the interview process, but generally speaking this is what you can expect:
- Introductory call/interview with Clare, our People Lead. The call is usually via telephone and will last around 30 minutes.
- Should it feel like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a video call with the hiring manager for around 45 minutes. This is a more structured interview and will deep dive into the role and technical needs.
- Some, if not all, of our roles will have a small assessment stage. This might be in person, a take home assessment or further video calls. Length varies, however we are mindful you will have your own work to do and therefore try to keep it as simple as possible.
- Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, length varies depending on how many people and whether in person or via video call.
