This position pays $130k based on experience!
We are seeking a Director of Nursing (DON). Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). We seek an inspirational leader who is empathetic, organized and who sets clear expectations and objectives. Responsibilities:
- Manage the nursing department
- Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their families
- Supervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all times
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring potential employees
- Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
- Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Administrator
- Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
- Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
- Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
- Clinical and supervisory experience
- Previous hospital and/or skilled nursing experience
- Outstanding leadership and relationship building skills
