The ServiceNow Developer at the Organization is a software engineer who builds value-based automation and workflows for the organization using our innovative cloud-based "Now" platform. Situated at the heart of IT, you would be solving real challenges across the full breadth of IT service delivery and enabling people to deliver value across the organization business units. You would help discover, automate, and orchestrate the millions of moving parts in our digital world!
Responsibilities and Duties:
Design and implement workflows, business rules, and UI pages using ServiceNow's scripting languages and web technologies.
Design and implement solutions using ServiceNow's ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
Develop and maintain custom integrations between ServiceNow and other IT system.
Develop end to end processes that streamline the connection between human and machine via our low-code, cloud-based, rapid application development platform.
Improve the architecture by consulting with platform architects, promoting innovative approaches, and sharing knowledge.
Perform system administrative and development functions within the ServiceNow platform which includes, configuration and customization of the system.
Support ongoing operations, including responding to production issues as they arise, including 24/7 availability in a team callout rotation.
Perform system upgrade related activities including testing, troubleshooting, debugging, & fixing defects.
Reduce technical debt by promotion of best practices for sustainable IT system design.
Work with ServiceNow (and other related vendors) to understand the direction of the product and advocate for new functionality that will meet future Organization demands out of the box.
Being a member of the larger ServiceNow community as we participate in knowledge sharing across ServiceNow local and worldwide user groups.
Continually learn from more experienced developers, online trainings, user group lab sessions, other developers in the ServiceNow community, and formal training classes to build an expert level of capability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Demonstrable understanding of basic software development concepts
1-3 years of ServiceNow experience
Willing and able to provide day-to-day and after-hours support (24x7) as required
High degree of 'learning agility' with the ability to readily consume and apply new information and concepts
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other IT related programs
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and be detail-oriented
Strong communication skills (including technical audiences, leadership, and vendors)
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Familiarity with DevOps and Agile concepts and methodologies
Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts
