Contract - 12 months

Job Duties

  • Works in a variety of engineering functions either in field locations or in the lab environment, which may include necessary activities to optimize system/component performance and availability, and analysis for and development of DER equipment, components, or standards.
  • Own the scope of design development, including cost and stocking levels, for current and future DER management devices.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders for new inverter testing, including mocking up new equipment in the DER Lab, where applicable, and developing and executing test plans.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to inverter manufacturers, for any required testing, troubleshooting, or requirement verifications.
  • Works effectively in a team environment and may assume the role of team leader.
  • Assists in the special testing or troubleshooting of components of equipment of process problems or special studies.
  • Provides technical guidance and recommendations to other employees in support of high quality, timely and cost-effective engineering solutions to technical problems.
  • Builds knowledge of the organization processes, customers, and wide understanding of the technical and engineering aspect of the equipment and facilities in the functions work scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or engineering technology from a college or university accredited by ABET or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years related engineering or technology experience.

Preferred

  • Basic Electrical/Electronic Theory
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • Engineer in Training Certificate
