Who you are:

As a Network Support Technician you will be instrumental in maintaining the health of Semioss networks and coming up with solutions and protocols to support emerging technologies and product lines. You will be responsible for handling escalated tickets from our Network Support Technician Is, as well as interfacing with multiple departments within Semios framework.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture, technology, and be comfortable with long hours behind a computer. You enjoy working with others to solve problems. You are able to leverage exceptional multitasking skills to remotely support multiple team members in parallel. You are self motivated, quick-learning, a good communicator and a great team player.

What you will do:

  • Network planning and mapping
  • Network health monitoring
  • Assess, troubleshoot and document network issues
  • Remotely assist Field Technicians with troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Track and maintain inventory of network equipment
  • Handle escalated network issues
  • Isolate, analyze and troubleshoot complex network problems
  • Identify common pain points and generate and implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement protocols and procedures for new and emerging products and technologies
  • Guide field technicians and other team members through solutions in both written and verbal form.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

  • Advanced skills in operating computer software and hardware
  • High level of competence with Excel/Google sheets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide clear and concise instructions, both written and verbally
  • Ability to present information to parties of varying technical aptitudes
  • A strong ability to multitask
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including some Saturdays
  • Drive to learn and grow in a self directed learning environment
  • Skilled at applying previous learnings to future problems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and troubleshoot complex problems with little or no guidance.
  • Excel at tackling problems that dont have well established solutions. Able to work well with ambiguity.

Nice to have:

  • Post-secondary education or certificate in a related field
  • Experience with low voltage electronics
  • Knowledge of IoT and/or wireless networks
  • Customer Service experience
  • Tech/IT/Call center experience
  • Familiarity with wireless and/or low voltage radio networks
  • Experience with Technical Writing
  • Experience with Linux Bash Terminal
  • Previous Semios experience with strong performance


Job Type: Full Time

  • 40 hours per week
  • Pay: $19.50/hr - $26.38/hr
