Integrated Wound Care, a healthcare company that specializes in providing quality wound care services to skilled nursing, long-term care, and rehabilitation facilities, is seeking a Skin Substitute Program Assistant to join their team. As a Skin Substitute Program Assistant, you will be responsible for providing chart audits and ongoing education to providers. You will also work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary wound care team to ensure all wound care documentation meets clinical standards. Responsibilities

  • Review and audit patient charts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices related to wound care management identifying candidates for skin grafts
  • Assess and document wound care treatments, including the use of grafts, and provide feedback and education to clinical staff as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and wound care specialists, to coordinate patient care and ensure the effective delivery of services
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality wound care services
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and technological advancements related to wound care management, including the use of grafts
  • Provide education and feedback to clinical staff to promote high-quality wound care practices and professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or relevant work experience
  • Active wound care certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wound care.
  • Knowledge of wound care coding and documentation requirements.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
