We are seeking a skilled BioMedical Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in BioMed equipment technology or electronic technology, or equivalent experience in the field. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to medical and test equipment is essential. Strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and a valid driver's license are required. Certification as a BioMed Equipment Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Install new equipment by adjusting, testing, and calibrating performance.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and regulations when approving potential biomedical equipment.
  • Manage supplies inventory by forecasting needs, placing orders, and verifying deliveries.
  • Provide demonstrations, instructions, and support on the use and care of biomedical equipment.
  • Perform tests, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep equipment functioning.
  • Prepare reports by analyzing trends and data.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements through reading, education, and networking.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by seeking opportunities to add value and completing innovative requests.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following procedures, performing safety tests, and providing guidance and training.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in biomedical engineering or technology.
  • Proficiency in technical skills.
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Knowledge of clinical lab testing and analysis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Focus on creating a safe environment.
  • Experience in equipment calibration and repair.
  • Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Competence in training management.
  • Strong conceptual and multitasking skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
