This role will report directly to the CMO and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver thought leadership, digital marketing and content/client inspiration. The ultimate goal of the Sr. Product Marketing Director is to drive product growth and adoption, resulting in increased sales lead generation, client satisfaction and business success.

Responsibilities

  • At least 5 years of experience in product marketing with a proven track record of driving product growth and adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the commerce industry, digital marketing, and customer acquisition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to analyze trends and data and come up with creative content ideas for unique and engaging marketing content.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to execute complex projects
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving product growth and client success
  • Develop and execute the product marketing strategy:
    • Including market positioning, messaging, product launch plans, internal team training with the product team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including leadership team, product management, sales leads and marketing to drive the product vision and ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Develop go-to-market plans and sales enablement tools:
    • Includes demand generation activities, thought leadership programs, and product launches.
    • Deliver qualified leads/prospects out of the different marketing initiatives.
    • Create tools and product collateral to support the sales team as well as organic growth efforts and drive product adoption.
  • Monitor market trends and competition:
    • Keep up-to-date on market trends and the competitive landscape, and continuously improve product marketing and messaging to stay ahead of the market.
    • Understand client needs and the competitive landscape and use the information to inform product and marketing strategies.
    • Produce articles, POVs, newsletter and thought leadership pieces:
    • Must have strong copywriting skills.

Requirements

  • Strong network with industry publishers and trusted voices
  • Proven track record on thought leadership; published articles etc.
  • Strategically focused individual with initiative and intellectual horsepower
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Strongly prefer candidates that reside in the Minneapolis area
