Well known, luxury members-only club is seeking a talented General Manager. Ideal candidate will have Maitre D sensibilities, VIP and luxury hotel experience with a vast F&B leadership background. This person will also have a resume full of excellent references. We will check. This is an opportunity to work in a spectacular, beach front setting with some of the worlds most interesting people.


Relocation assistance is available, but candidates with Miami-based experience are preferred.

Spanish speaking a huge plus but not required!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control day-to-day operations by monitoring labor, COGS, assets, guest relations and developing the management team.
  • Oversight of all event operations including high profile weddings and celebrations of global events (Art Basel, Formula One, etc)
  • Collaboration with marketing, programming and luxury activations.
  • Direct oversight of membership team.
  • Oversight of all F&B operations including chef-driven cuisine, both fine dining and casual, full-service with seasonal menu and concept changes.
  • Collaboration with third party management company for spa and gym operations.
  • Manage and train the team according to the US labor laws and regional standards in the restaurant sector.
  • Ensure Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes and company safety and security policies are met.
  • Profit & Loss management in collaboration with accounting team (i.e., budget attainment both revenue and labor) by following cash control, security procedures, overseeing inventory, assessing labor costs, review financial reports and taking appropriate action to maintain and monitor P&L across all categories listed.
  • Hire, train and conduct staff performance review, take disciplinary action, motivate and train, oversee all employees within each unit appointed.
  • Guarantee quality and 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of restaurant protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5+ years Forbes 5 Star hotel management experience
  • 3-5 years of F&B leadership experience in fine dining restaurants and/or luxury hotels.
  • P&L and COGS experience and history of interaction with accounting personnel
  • Experience in maintaining all aspects of operations including HR related responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and any other hospitality softwares
  • Strategic Planning and Verbal Communication

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in the hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven track record of driving results and achieving financial goals.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to excellence.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
