Overall Responsibility for the Interim Director of Operations:
The Interim Director of Operations focuses on the main campus of 150 acres. The full campus includes 40 buildings and 700 acres.
SCOPE: The following leaders report to the Interim Director of Operations: Director of Environmental Care, Head of the Water Department, Chief Administrative Director, Maintenance Coordinator.
LEADERSHIP APPROACH: collaborative; ability to mentor/coach; works with a sense of urgency. CURRENT PROJECTS: 1. Elevator replacement/renovation; 2. Ligature Reduction in the psychiatric areas; 3. ADA accessibility; 4. Ongoing water filtration; 5. Roof project starting in October 2022; 6. Numerous smaller projects.
Deliverables:
1. Develop and coordinate internal fiscal year project tracking including ligature project, provides leadership in project management, best practices, and TJC expertise. Track progress and work within the facility team to identify project delays proactively. Monitor deferred maintenance and capital projects. Reviews and submits to senior leaders recommendations and action plans.
2. Provide an assessment for TJC readiness recommendations and/or carry out educational awareness events and provide best practice solutions.
3. Provide structure and reorganization in the following departments: Facilities and Environmental Services.
In addition, review job descriptions with recommendations for revision. Offer recommendations and best practices that would be beneficial to the Hospital and Departments including Leadership Rounding, departments daily and weekly reports, and effective management and utilization of CAMIS and time management.
