Job Title: Data Engineer III Duration: 9 Months Location: Seattle, WA 98109 Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite/Remote Job Description: Client MODE (Media Operations, Data, and Execution) team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer who is curious, driven, and passionate about big data technologies and building a project from scratch. This role will require participating in full-cycle big data management, processing, and infrastructure design to build mission critical, high-volume ML/AI applications to optimize delivery of relevant and advertising experiences to customers. As a Data Engineer, you will operate as a mix of hands-on builder and influencer. You will work closely with engineers and scientists contributing to the ongoing development and evolution of the underlying machine learning systems and data infrastructures Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects: About the team: We are a new global team that is innovating cross-channel media strategy and planning, buying, marketing operations, campaign optimization and measurement processes. Key job responsibilities Pairing with product teams, software engineers, and scientists to design and develop easy-to-use infrastructure for production ML and econometric models for optimizing advertising reach, frequency and return on advertising spend. Build scalable and secure tools that extract, and process volumes of disparate data used by a variety of econometric and machine learning applications. Develop solutions for data quality check How is time split during a typical day related to tasks? (Percentage breakdown): 70% of time coding and doing hands on work. 30% talk with stakeholders/gather business requirements/documentation What is the interaction with other team members? Interactive work across different teams Is there a possibility of extension or conversion to FTE? Extension possible Candidate Requirements: 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role. Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment. A solid engineering background and experience optimizing the end-to-end performance of distributed systems (e.g., Spark). Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and designing ETL workflows. Proficiency in SQL. Programming experience with at least one software programming language, preferably Python. Preferred qualifications Experience working on advertising measurement and optimization. Experience working on automated marketing technologies. Experience supporting Machine Learning Infrastructure. Experience working with AWS Services, handling big volumes of data.
